Why we built this

Over the last 35-odd years I've had more than 20 different jobs: bar work, cleaning, call centres, admin, sales, specialist roles at a bank, consulting at one of the Big Four. Every few years, I'd be back on the job hunt.

Each time, I got a bit better at it. I learned what worked, dropped the assumptions that didn't, and eventually built myself a system (a spreadsheet, really) that I kept refining and sharing with friends and colleagues who were struggling.

Here's what I figured out: you can expect to send roughly 100 applications to land 2 serious offers. But the answer isn't sending more CVs. It's sending better ones.

Most CVs never reach a human. They get filtered out by ATS software because they don't match the role's keywords. Once I started properly tailoring each application, something shifted: fewer applications, far more interviews. The grind got shorter.

Vantae is that system, rebuilt properly. It's the tool I wish I'd had for the last three decades of job hunting. It won't do the work for you. Nothing can. But it'll make the work count.
